| Description | The ADM2483BRWZ-REEL is a half-duplex isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver integrating iCoupler® magnetic isolation technology, providing galvanic isolation up to 2500 Vrms. It supports data rates up to 500 kbps and operates with supply voltages from 2.7V to 5.5V on the logic side and 5V on the bus side. The device features high common-mode transient immunity greater than 25 kV/µs, low operating current of approximately 2.5 mA, and propagation delay around 600–620 ns. It includes one driver and one receiver with bidirectional communication capability and supports up to 256 nodes on the bus. The transceiver offers fail-safe receiver inputs, slew-rate limited outputs for reduced EMI, and thermal shutdown protection. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, and the wide-body SOIC-16 package ensures compliance with isolation spacing requirements, making it suitable for industrial automation, fieldbus systems, and isolated communication interfaces. |
